August

  • July 26th - first practice for harvest teams.

  • August 2nd - 15th  -- Hands-off period.

  • Coaches should download a copy of the MPA Soccer Bulletin from the MPA Website.

  • There will be mandatory rules clinics held in soccer this fall.  Each high school boys and girls soccer program must have a coach or athletic administrator attend one of these mandatory meetings.  Sites for meetings - TBA.

  • August 16th - First Practice.

  • August 20th - First Interschool Scrimmage (after 3pm).

    September

    • September 3rd -- First Countable Game (after 3:00 p.m.)

    • September 27th -- 1st Step of the All-Star Process. Coaches nominate up to five of their own players with email or fax to President (mjeffrey@breweredu.org). Nominations due by Monday, September 27th.

     



    October

    • Week of October 11th -- 2nd Step of the All-Star Process. Coaches receive the Nominations Sheets and Ballot for the voting process.

    • All-Star Ballots are sent to the Regional Vice-Presidents by Friday, October 22nd.

    • Week of October 25th -- V.P.'s tally ballots and send results to President by Friday, October 29th.

    • October 19th -- Last Countable Game.

    • October 22nd -- Girls' Regional Prelims (Rain date 10/23).

    • October 23rd -- Boys' Regional Prelims (Rain date 10/25).

    • October 26th -- Girls' Regional Quarter Finals (Rain date 10/28).

    • October 27th -- Boys' Regional Quarter Finals (Rain date 10/28).

    • October 29th - *Girls' and Boys' Class C and D Semi Finals (Rain date 11/1).

    • October 30st - Girls' and Boys' Class A and B Semi Finals (Rain date 11/1).

    *May move the 10/29 game to 10/30 by mutual agreement.



    November

    • November 3rd -- Regional Finals All Classes (Rain date 11/4).

    • November 6th -- Maine Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star Teams are posted on the website.  Senior All-Stars who plan to attend the 16th Annual Maine Soccer Coaches Senior Bowl will email the President at mjeffrey@breweredu.org by November 14th.

     

    • November 6th -- ^State Finals - 2 Championship sites TBA (Rain date 11/11)

     

    • Week of November 8th --  All-America/All-New England Ballots are sent to coaches.

    • November 14th -- Final RSVP date for Senior All-Stars attending Senior Bowl.  RSVP

    • November 14th -- Maine Soccer Coaches 16th Annual Senior Bowl at Hampden Academy. Girl's game is at 12:00 noon and the Boy's game is at 2:30 p.m. Seniors will receive invitations for 37th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet.

    • November 15th -- All America/All New England ballot sent to President.

    • Week of November 15th -- Invitations to the 37th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet are mailed to coaches and regional all-stars.

    December

    • December 3rd -- Reservations for the 37th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet are due to President.

    • December 5th-- 37th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor (directions). All-America, All-New England, Eastern and Western State Teams, and Class "Players of the Year" are announced at that time.
