August

  • July 27th - first practice for harvest teams.

  • August 3rd - 16th  -- Hands-off period.

  • Coaches should download a copy of the MPA Soccer Bulletin from the MPA Website.

  • MPA required meeting of the coaches and referees by Regional Boards for Rules Clinic has been CANCELLED for the 2009 soccer season.

  • August 18th - First Practice.

  • August 21st - First Interschool Scrimmage (after 3pm).

    September

    • September 5th -- First Countable Game (after 3:00 p.m. on September 4th).

    • September 25th -- 1st Step of the All-Star Process. Coaches nominate up to five of their own players with email or fax to President (mjeffrey@breweredu.org). Nominations due by Friday, September 25th.

     



    October

    • Week of October 5th -- 2nd Step of the All-Star Process. Coaches receive the Nominations Sheets and Ballot for the voting process.

    • All-Star Ballots are sent to the Regional Vice-Presidents by Wednesday, October 21st.

    • Week of October 26th -- V.P.'s tally ballots and send results to President by Friday, October 30th.

    • October 20th -- Last Countable Game.

    • October 21st -- Make-up Date for October 20th Game ONLY.

    • October 23rd -- Girls' Regional Prelims (Rain dates 10/24).

    • October 24th -- Boys' Regional Prelims (Rain date 10/26).

    • October 27th -- Girls' Regional Quarter Finals (Rain date 10/29).

    • October 28th -- Boys' Regional Quarter Finals (Rain date 10/29).

    • October 30th - *Girls' and Boys' Class C and D Semi Finals (Rain date 11/2).

    • October 31st - Girls' and Boys' Class A and B Semi Finals (Rain date 11/2).

    *May move the 10/30 game to 10/31 by mutual agreement.



    November

    • November 4th -- Regional Finals All Classes (Rain date 11/5).

    • November 6th -- Maine Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star Teams are posted on the website.  Senior All-Stars who plan to attend the 15th Annual Maine Soccer Coaches Senior Bowl will email the President at mjeffrey@breweredu.org by November 13th.

    • November 7th -- ^State Finals (Rain date 11/11)

     

    • Week of November 9th --  All-America/All-New England Ballots are sent to coaches.

    • November 13th -- Final RSVP date for Senior All-Stars attending Senior Bowl.  RSVP

    • November 15th -- Maine Soccer Coaches 15th Annual Senior Bowl at Hampden Academy. Boy's game is at 12:00 noon and the Girl's game is at 2:30 p.m. Seniors will receive invitations for 36th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet.

    • November 16th -- All America/All New England ballot sent to President.

    • Week of November 16th -- Invitations to the 36th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet are mailed to coaches and regional all-stars.

    December

    • December 4th -- Reservations for the 36th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet are due to President.

    • December 6th-- 36th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor (directions). All-America, All-New England, Eastern and Western State Teams, and Class "Players of the Year" are announced at that time.
