
The
Maine Soccer Coaches Senior 15th Annual Senior Bowl was held at Hampden
Academy on November 15, 2009. In the boy's game the West Seniors defeated
the East Seniors 5 - 4 in very close, well-played match.
Scorers
for the West Squad were Trevor Hoxsie of Scarborough High School, who scored
two goals, while Ben Brewster of Cape Elizabeth, Alec Dunn and Kyle Lucas
both of Falmouth, scored single goals.
Ebrahim Fazell of Yarmouth notched three assists, while Ted Russell
of Greely and Gabe
Hoffman-Johnson of Falmouth had one each.
Scorers
for the East team were Justin Pierel of Mt. View with one goal and one
assist, while Jack Davis of Belfast, Matt Duhaime of Ellsworth, and Dylan
Keller of Mt. View all had one goal. Assists were turned in by Ryan Hall of
Erskine Academy and Zach Emeigh of Ellsworth
Goalkeepers
for the East were Pete Morrell of Brunswick, Dillon Kingsbury of Presque
Isle, and Bryce Colbeth of Washington Academy. Keepers for the West were
Tennessee Peters of Scarborough, Matt Langadas of Lake Region, Chris
Gillespie of Waynflete, and Nathan Hopkins of Vinalhaven.
In
the Girl's game the West Seniors defeated the East Seniors 6 - 2. Lindsay
Wilson of Gorham scored a hat-trick, with Kristi Zarrilli, also of Gorham,
scoring a goal and assisting on another.
Ashley Beaulieu of Lisbon and Elizabeth Fischmann of Yarmouth scored
single goals for the West squad.
The
goal scorers for the East were Courtney Langley of Lawrence and Jordyn
Mallett of Winslow. Courtney Churchill of Fort Fairfield had an assist.
